If you live outwith the Dennistoun area, but a relative or friend resides there, you can also hire it with your contact verifying your address.

Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to go beyond the main hall with the exception of kitchen buffets facilities where they must be supervised by an adult.

Please note that children accompanied by an adult are welcome at evening functions, but not within the bar vicinity.

All bookings must have at least 2 week's notice before the date of hall hire.

How Much Does it Cost to Hire the Hall?

The fee covers:

Can I Arrange my own Buffet?
Yes - you can bring in your own Disco or Band or the Association can provide you with details of our resident DJ.  A fee of £80 is for the DJ, with a £40 deposit to be paid on day of booking, and the remainder paid directly to the DJ on the function.

Please note that in the event that the DJ fails to reduce the volume of music on request from the Staff on Duty, the function will end.

NO PARTY POPPERS ALLOWED

What Functions can be Held?
Anything within reason, of course! Social events like: wedding receptions, birthday parties, christenings, public meetings and presentation evenings - if in doubt, please ask. A maximum of 60 people can attend. The hall cannot be used for political, racial or sectarian use.

Can I Arrange my own Bar?
No - Licensing regulations prohibits alcohol being brought into the hall which has not been purchased for the bar. Arrangement can be made with the Associations Bar Staff for the person hiring the hall to provide drinks for their guests. Please note that in the event of anyone under the age of 18 consuming alcohol within the hall, the bar will close immediately and the function will end. For license regulations, the named person on the license and hall hire form must be present throughout the function.

How Much Notice do I Require to Give Before Booking?
As much notice as possible! In order to avoid disappointment, it is advisable to contact the office as soon as possible to ensure that you get the date of your choice. Please remember that we need a minimum of 14 working days to the date of the function.

How do I make a Booking?
Simply by calling into the Association's Office. You will be shown around the Community Hall and asked to complete a form giving details of your function. Your fee and deposits should be paid on booking. After booking, you will be sent a letter confirming your details. A member of staff will contact you a few days prior to the event to finalise details.
